If you are unfamiliar with this trail system, you are in for a treat. This is an (almost) ITP trail system in a major metropolitan area that was not originally designated for bikes. Shout out to those (ahem, SORBA) who made that happen and continue to keep this gem available, We have heard the musing on how SORBA could be better, and a flurry of complaints. Think what you will, however there is no other organization doing more to secure your (free) access to trails across the country. Complain all you want, but each time you complain, a walker gets a new dog with a 12 foot leash and a parking pass to this park. Donate your time or money to help build the trails and assure we maintain access to places like this in the future.

BIG CREEK- Free Ride Area
Total Timed Miles 1.55
Strava is the official timekeeper, and fortunately/unfortunately most of the downhill sections are too short to create a segment. So you get to do bonus miles on most sections here. Yes we could go in and calculate your time for only the downhill, but After burning it down on the downhill, you're not done... you're going to have to huff it uphill for at least a 1/10 of a mile on 4 of the 5 segments. SPICY! This makes the enduroheads cringe, but it's good training right? |

Good question, the place is small, but mighty and packs one hell of a punch. The segments are short, but there are a lot of them. Because of the powers that be, Strava, only let you create certain length segments, you will have to record this ride as a run. Read that again, and then do it.
